Seize the day/This too shall pass
Wow, what a time to be alive! Life, as we know it, for many of us, has been stripped to its bare essence. For those of us not of the front lines of the healthcare crisis, the distractions that make up the majority of what we consider modern life are no longer here to fill our time. Work is now remote, time has slowed down and binge watching Netflix is starting to loose its appeal. No sports, no school, no job, no shopping, no bars, no restaurants, no church, no conferences, no dates, no gyms, no concerts, no handshakes, no hugs.
Can we live without these things that just a few days ago made up the majority of life? What if we recognized this as an opportunity to reflect on what has brought us to this point in our lives and how we can embrace this unique time as a gift.
Are you going to watch Netflix, or the news, or stare at Facebook and Instagram, every day? Or......are you going to seize the day and use it to bring the “you” back into your life. You know, the one you always wished you had time for.
If we are fortunate enough to maintain our health through all this, it could be one of the greatest moments of our lives.
This is the time to develop our health, our knowledge, our compassion, our skills, our being and embrace the “you” that you always dreamed of. The list of possibilities are long my friends and this too shall pass before we know it. So.............
